Virgin olive oil in a hair oil is a different proposition from the bottle in the kitchen. Vatika enrich it, which cuts the weight and the smell, and the result spreads properly through hair instead of pooling in one section.
Olive is a heavy, sealing oil, so it earns its place on hair that is dry, frizzy and rough at the ends. It coats, it flattens the cuticle, and frizz drops away as a result. That coating is also why it is the wrong choice for a fine, oily scalp, or for hair you want to look full rather than sleek.
Two ways to use it. Pre-wash, worked through dry lengths for an hour before shampooing, which is the version that does the most. Or a very small amount on damp ends after washing, purely to keep frizz down as the hair dries. 200 ml, and used the first way it lasts several months.
