Virgin olive oil in a hair oil is a different proposition from the bottle in the kitchen. Vatika enrich it, which cuts the weight and the smell, and the result spreads properly through hair instead of pooling in one section.
Olive is a heavy, sealing oil, so it earns its place on hair that is dry, frizzy and rough at the ends. It coats, it flattens the cuticle, and frizz drops away as a result. That coating is also why it is the wrong choice for a fine, oily scalp, or for hair you want to look full rather than sleek.
Two ways to use it. Pre-wash, worked through dry lengths for an hour before shampooing, which is the version that does the most. Or a very small amount on damp ends after washing, purely to keep frizz down as the hair dries. 200 ml, and used the first way it lasts several months.

Application tips
Stand the bottle in a mug of hot water for a minute first. Warm oil travels further and you get away with less of it.
Part into four, run it down each length with your fingertips and save the last drops for the ends. Leaving it in overnight means a scarf and a satin pillowcase. To wash it out, put the shampoo on the oily hair dry, then wet it and go again.
Results
The change shows at the ends, which stop looking pale and ragged and start catching the light again. Frizz flattens as the oil weighs down a lifted cuticle.
Hair feels denser in the hand and holds a smooth blow-dry noticeably longer. Used before a wash it takes the harshness out of wash day, so what comes out of the shower feels soft rather than stripped.
