There are two ways to use a coconut mask. Weekly, as your standing deep conditioner, or occasionally when hair has taken a beating from sun, chlorine or a run of heat styling. This 500g tub is sized and priced for the first.
Coconut is the whole story of the formula. It is rich and creamy, goes on thick, and needs a proper rinse.
Work it into clean, damp hair section by section, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends where the damage lives. Leave it a few minutes, longer if your hair is coarse, then rinse until the water runs clear. Hair that still feels coated afterwards usually just needs another thirty seconds under the tap.
It is aimed at dry, damaged and lacklustre hair, and it works across wavy, curly and coily textures up to about 4a. Fine hair can use it, but keep it off the roots and treat it as monthly rather than weekly.
