Application tips
Treat it as a pre-poo rather than a leave-in.
Coat dry hair the night before or a couple of hours ahead, giving the ends the most and the roots whatever is left over. Twist the hair up and cover it. When you wash, put the shampoo straight onto the oiled hair before adding water; it lifts the oil far better than trying to wet a greasy head first.
Results
The point of castor is how long it stays. It clings where lighter oils slide off, so hair oiled on Sunday still has something on it by Wednesday.
That matters if you keep length under braids, twists or a wig, where the ends are out of reach for weeks at a time. Dry, brittle ends soften and stop splintering. Fine hair should keep it below the ears.
