Truzone Tea Tree Shampoo Deep Cleanse & Invigorating Scalp Treatment for Oily & Itchy Hair 1L / 33.81 fl oz
The professional 1 litre bottle of Truzone's tea tree wash, which is the format most salons stock it in and the one that works out cheapest per wash at home.
Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil, the botanical name on the ingredient list, is what gives it the sharp clean smell and the cool feeling on the skin. The formula is aimed at scalps that run oily, itch by the end of the day or show visible flakes, and it purifies without leaving the hair feeling like it has been scrubbed.
- Clarifies oily, congested scalps and roots
- Reduces the look of loose flakes
- Leaves the skin feeling cool and settled
- Hair finishes light rather than stripped
Rotate it into the routine rather than using it exclusively if your lengths are on the dry side. 1L/33.81 fl oz, and a bottle that will outlast most of the products around it.

Application tips
Two washes, not one, if you are coming off a week of dry shampoo. The first lifts the surface grease and barely foams; the second is the one that cleans.
Keep both at the scalp and let gravity handle the lengths. There are cosmetic colourants in the formula, so rinse it out fully rather than leaving any sitting in a parting. Condition from mid-length down.
Results
Sodium laureth sulphate does the cleaning, which is why this cuts through oil and silicone build-up in a way a mild shampoo cannot. Cocamidopropyl betaine takes some of the harshness off it.
The tea tree gives the cool tingle at the scalp, and polyquaternium-10 leaves enough conditioning behind that hair still combs out. Expect a proper clean rather than a soft one.
