Refined coconut oil and virgin coconut oil are not the same product, and the difference shows up in what is left in the jar. Tropical Sun cold-press theirs and leave it unrefined, so the antioxidants, the lauric acid and the coconut smell all survive the process.
That smell is the giveaway, incidentally. Refined oil is odourless because refining takes the aroma out along with a fair amount of what you were paying for.
