Application tips
A 480ml tub is a kitchen-sized quantity, which changes how you use it. Melt a few spoonfuls in a bowl standing in hot water and you have enough for a full-length treatment plus the scalp, without repeatedly digging into cold solid oil.
Keep a smaller pot in the bathroom for daily amounts. Always use a clean spoon, because fingers in a tub this size will turn it rancid months before you finish it.
Results
Hair takes on a softness that survives the next wash rather than disappearing with it. Rough, porous ends feel sealed.
On the scalp it takes the tight, dry feeling away, and it does the same on shins and elbows in winter. It smells like actual coconut, which is the cheerful side effect of skipping the refining step.
