Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Black Castor Oil Growth & Strengthening Oil for Hair & Scalp 118ml/3.99 oz
Tropic Isle's Growth and Strengthening Oil is the workhorse of the range, and it is the one to reach for if you are trying to hold on to the length you already have rather than fighting breakage every wash day.
It is authentic Jamaican black castor oil, rich in ricinoleic acid and omega fatty acids, applied to the scalp and the ends. On the scalp it conditions and takes the tightness out of dry skin. On the ends it seals, so the hair stops roughing up and catching on itself, and less of it snaps off during detangling. That is the honest mechanism. Keeping ends intact is what makes hair look longer over a few months.
Use a few drops at a time, along partings for the scalp and pressed through damp ends for the lengths. Suits natural, coily and afro-textured hair, roughly type 3b to 4c. 118ml/3.99 oz.

Application tips
Split the job in two. Scalp work goes on dry hair on a night you are not washing: a few drops per parting, massaged in and left there.
Length work goes on damp hair as the last step of a wash day, pressed into the final few inches with flat palms. Doing both at once wastes oil. Shake the bottle and pour into your hand rather than tipping it at the head.
Results
Scalp skin loosens up and the dry, tight feeling goes. On the tips the oil closes the surface down so strands stop snagging on each other.
The handful of broken pieces you normally lose to a detangling session gets smaller. Hair holds a deep, dark shine rather than a glassy one. Length shows over months, because the ends you keep are the ones that add up.
