It works as a leave-in and as a styling cream depending on how much you use. A little through damp hair and it is a daily moisturiser. More of it, worked into sections, and it sets twists and braids. Either way the hair ends up softer to handle, which is what cuts breakage during styling and lets you keep length instead of losing it at the ends.
The tub holds 354.88 ml. Warm the cream between your palms first, then work it in section by section rather than trying to cover the whole head at once. Coiled hair is easier to moisturise properly in six small parts than in two big ones, and the cream is thick enough that rushing it leaves patches untouched.

Application tips
A styling cream that doubles as a leave-in wants damp hair and a sectioned head. Work a palmful through one section at a time, smoothing downward so the cuticle lies flat.
Shingle it through with the fingers if you want the coils to clump. Twelve ounces is a big tub, so measure by section rather than by handful. Air dry, diffuse, or twist it up overnight. Nothing gets rinsed.
Results
Tightly coiled hair softens enough to handle, which is most of the battle won.
Sections that used to tighten and knot as they dried stay open and workable, so shrinkage arrives without the tangle that normally comes with it. Definition is soft rather than sculpted. Hair keeps a light moisture level into the third day, so refreshing takes a spritz of water rather than starting over.
