This is a twist-out cream, and the name is honest about it.
Shea butter and coconut oil make it rich enough to hold moisture through a set and thick enough to grip the section while you twist. Put it on before the twist rather than after, work in small sections on damp hair, and let the set dry fully before you take it down. Rushing that is what produces a frizzy twist-out, not the cream.
It does the same job for braid-outs, and it will carry a wash-and-go if you follow it with a gel.
