A hair and body serum is an awkward category until you have used one. Then it makes sense: the same argan oil that smooths a frizzy length also sorts out dry shins and elbows, and carrying one bottle instead of two is a small mercy when packing.

TGIN's version is built on pure argan oil and it absorbs quickly. That matters more here than it would in a dedicated hair oil, because anything greasy enough to sit on hair for hours is unpleasant on skin. This does not do that. It sinks in and leaves softness rather than a film.

On hair, a few drops through damp lengths handles frizz and adds shine. On skin, it goes on straight after a shower while you are still slightly damp, which is when it absorbs best.

120 ml, which is a modest bottle, though a serum this concentrated is not something you use by the handful.

Application tips

Three or four drops in a warm palm, rubbed together, then pressed over the outer layer of damp hair. Start at the ends and work up only as far as you need to.

For skin, apply while there is still water on it and give it 30 seconds to sink in before you dress. Go back to the hair mid-week if the ends look tired.

Results

Frizz lies down without the hair going flat, and the tips stop looking bleached-out and dry.

Shine arrives quickly and reads natural rather than oily. On skin the same bottle leaves elbows and shins soft with nothing tacky left over, which is the entire argument for carrying a dual-purpose serum.
