Sunny Isle Jamaican Organic Pimento Oil with Black Castor Oil 4 oz
Pimento is allspice, and Sunny Isle blend its oil into their Jamaican black castor oil to give this version a warmth the plain one does not have. On the scalp you feel it: a mild tingle that fades after a few minutes, which is also how you know it has gone on evenly.
Everything else works the way black castor oil normally works. It is thick, it clings, and it is at its best sealing ends or being massaged into a parted scalp in small amounts. The pimento gives it a spiced smell rather than the plain roasted-bean note of the original.
A word on application. This is a concentrated blend and it runs warmer than most oils, so start with less than you think you need. If your scalp reacts easily, try a small patch first and leave it a day before going further.
The beans are cold pressed using the traditional Jamaican method, which is what Sunny Isle have always done. Type 3b through 4c. 4 oz.

Application tips
Start with less than a full dropper and see how your scalp takes it before you build a routine around it. Half a pipette across four partings is plenty on a first go.
Massage in with the fingertips rather than the nails, then leave it. If you would rather not wear it out of the house, apply on a Friday night and wash on Saturday.
Results
A gentle warmth comes up in the first minute and eases off after that. The scalp feels looser and less dry, which shows most in winter when a parting cracks easily.
Down the lengths it reads glossy without looking wet, and rough ends hold together better. The spiced scent stays with you for a few hours.
