Build-up on the scalp is hard to shift with a regular wash, especially if you use a lot of styling product. This one works as a clarifying shampoo, lifting product residue, environmental grime and excess sebum from the scalp and lengths. Most people use it as a reset wash, not an everyday cleanser.

Sulfur is paired with salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid that exfoliates the scalp surface and loosens dead skin and flaking. Sodium laureth sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine handle the cleansing and build the lather, while polyquaternium-7 conditions on the way through so hair detangles afterwards. Disodium EDTA deals with mineral deposits left behind by hard water.

How to use it

Saturate hair and scalp with warm water. Massage a generous amount in with your fingertips, concentrating on the areas with most build-up, and leave the lather for one to two minutes before rinsing clean. A second wash is worth doing on very oily scalps. Follow with conditioner on the lengths.
