Application tips
Section the head first, then take a modest amount on the fingertips and press it into the root before you turn the loc. Rolling between the palms afterwards carries it down the length. On braids, run a little along the parting with the back of a comb rather than your hand.
Give it drying time under a bonnet or a dryer hood if you have one, since a wax set at the root holds far longer than one left to air dry.
Results
The colour reads deeper and warmer than it does dry, which is the whole reason to pick the dark version over a clear wax. Twists stay closed. Braid partings look sharp for days instead of fuzzing over by the second morning, and the finish stays movable, so locs still swing rather than sitting stiff against the head.
