A pure gel dries too hard and cracks out of a loc within a day. A pure wax builds up and never leaves. This one lands between the two: enough grip to hold a fresh twist while it sets, enough give that the loc still moves afterwards.
It comes in a 250ml pot and you use it sparingly, at the root, working section by section. New growth stays down, frizz along the length stays in check, and the finish is a shine rather than a matt film.
