Application tips
This one belongs at the finish rather than the first pass. Detangle with something wider, then bring it through in long strokes from the crown down, following the shape you want the hair to hold.
For a fade or a short cut, comb against the growth to lift, then with it to lay flat. Under a dryer, keep the comb moving so heat does not sit in one place.
Results
The surface flattens and takes light better, so hair looks polished rather than fluffy. Partings sit sharp. Product lands in consistent bands rather than pooling in one spot and missing another, which matters on a relaxer or a colour.
On fine hair it gives control a wide tooth cannot. On dense coils it will fight you, so it belongs at the end of the job there rather than the start.
