Sof n Free Coconut & Jamaican Black Castor Oil Curling Crème Defines & Moisturizes Curls for Natural Hair
A curling crème is the middle ground between a leave-in and a gel. Enough slip to spread through wet hair, enough body to shape a curl and keep it. This one is built on coconut oil and Jamaican black castor oil, so the moisture and the definition come out of the same tub.
The finish is soft rather than set. Curls stay touchable, they move, and there is no cast to break out at the end. It shapes and holds the natural pattern without stiffness, keeps frizz and flyaways down in damp weather, and works across wash-and-gos, twist-outs and braid-outs. The coconut oil moisturises while the black castor oil seals.
Apply to damp hair in sections, smooth it through the lengths, then style. Made for natural curls, coils and waves, roughly type 3b through 4c.

Application tips
Section wet hair into four, then take pieces about two fingers wide. Smooth a coin-sized amount down each piece with flat hands, then rake once with your fingers to spread it and clump the curl.
Do not comb after that. Scrunch upward for more spring, then either diffuse on low or leave it. On thicker hair, add a second thin layer to the ends rather than doubling up on the first.
Results
Curls come out defined but soft, so fingers go through them without the shape falling apart. There is no shell to crack afterwards, which is the main separation between this and a gel.
Fuzz stays down on a damp day instead of lifting at the crown, and the pattern keeps its shape into a second day. Hair feels conditioned rather than coated, and nothing goes stiff as it dries.
Composition
- Coconut Oil
- Absorbs into the strand itself, so hair stays soft as it dries
