Shine 'n Jam Magic Fingers Nourishing Scalp Oil Soothes & Invigorates Scalp for Braids, Locs & Protective Styles 4 oz
4 oz of scalp oil goes a long way when the delivery is right, and Magic Fingers is built to get down to the scalp through a style rather than sitting on top of it. Braids, locs and twists all leave the scalp covered and dry, and this is the step that reaches it.
Peppermint and tea tree oils give it the cooling feel. That is what settles a scalp gone dry and itchy under a protective style, and the rest of the blend keeps the roots conditioned so the hair is less inclined to snap where the tension sits.
Part the hair, apply along the parting, and massage in with your fingertips. Two or three times a week is enough on most styles, more if your scalp runs dry. It works on loose natural hair as well, though the nozzle is really designed for getting between braids and locs where fingers alone will not reach.

Application tips
Part down to the scalp, run the nozzle along the line you have opened, then move to the next row. A few drops per parting is plenty.
Massage with the pads of your fingers, never the nails, until it stops sitting on the surface. Twice a week is enough under most installs, more often when the scalp feels tight. On loose hair it doubles as a pre-shampoo treatment the night before.
Results
The cooling registers within seconds, which is the relief you want on a scalp that has been covered for weeks. Roots feel less tight, and the itchy feeling that builds under a fresh install eases off.
Along the lengths it adds softness without the heavy shine that leaves braids looking wet, so it can go on before work.
