Monoi oil is coconut oil that has had tiare flowers steeped in it, a Polynesian method rather than a modern one, and it gives this masque a scent people either buy it for or notice immediately. Tahitian noni sits alongside it, with certified organic shea butter underneath doing the heavy conditioning.
The texture is rich. It coats thickly, which is what you want on hair that has been coloured, blown out or simply neglected, and it holds enough slip to get a comb through in sections.

Application tips
Wet hair, wrung out, four parts. A scoop each, pressed in with flat palms, then a comb through while it is slippery. Twenty minutes is where it stops adding much. Rinse in stages, piece by piece, so the ends do not tangle back together on the way out.
Results
Rough, dry lengths turn smooth within one use and stay that way for a couple of washes. Frizz lies down and the hair looks less fluffy in daylight.
Dense, tangled hair becomes possible to comb without a fight. It rinses out clean, with none of the oily residue a heavy masque can leave, and the tiare scent stays for a day or two.
