Shea Moisture use certified organic shea butter as the base, with argan oil and sea kelp behind it. Shea butter is what softens the strand enough for a knot to loosen. Argan oil puts the shine and the stretch back, and the sea kelp keeps lengths from going dull. Nothing here is doing anything clever. It works because the hair is soft enough to move. Work it through damp hair before you comb, start at the ends and go up in sections, and give a stubborn knot a second application rather than forcing it. Made for type 3b through 4c hair that is dry or damaged, and useful on wash day, on refresh days, and on children's hair where every tug costs you goodwill.
