Dry hair feels rough. Brittle hair has lost its flex, so it snaps rather than bending when you comb it, and putting oil on the outside does not fix that.
This is the intensive end of the Shea Moisture conditioner range, built for hair in the second category. Manuka honey draws moisture into the strand, mafura oil is heavy and fatty and keeps it from leaving again, and together they restore enough pliability that hair moves instead of breaking.

Work it through damp hair in sections and give it a few minutes before rinsing. Tagged for type 2a through 3c, though it is really about condition rather than curl pattern. If your hair is dry but still flexible, the lighter conditioners in the range will do.

Application tips
Straight after the shampoo, while the hair is still warm from the shower, is when this goes on best. Take it through with a wide-tooth comb rather than your hands, since the aim is even coverage on every strand.
On a wash where the hair feels particularly rough, clip it up under a cap for ten minutes. Rinse cool at the end.
Results
Stiff, brittle lengths get their give back, and a comb passes without that dragging feeling.
Dull, matte lengths pick up some light. The ends stop feeling like straw within a wash or two.
It is rich, so fine hair will notice it as weight, and thicker textures simply feel comfortable for the first time in a while. Left on for ten minutes it doubles as a treatment without needing a separate product.
