If you colour, relax, press or straighten regularly, your shampoo has more to do than a shampoo normally does. It has to clear the build-up that products leave behind and put moisture back into hair that is already short of it, in the same three minutes.
The formula runs on Jamaican black castor oil and certified organic shea butter, with apple cider vinegar helping the cuticle lie flat and peppermint oil leaving the scalp cool. It cleans properly, without the stripped, squeaking finish that sends you straight to a deep conditioner, and a 13 oz / 384 ml bottle goes a long way at one wash a week.
Two washes is the honest instruction. The first pass barely lathers on hair carrying weeks of butter and gel, and the second is the one that actually cleans. That is normal for a formula this rich and not a sign you need more product.
It works just as well on hair that has never been processed, if that hair is simply dry. Type 3b through 4c textures are the target, worn out or natural. Follow with the matching conditioner or leave-in.
