Washing high porosity hair is a balancing act. The cuticle is already raised, so a strong detergent takes out the moisture the hair was struggling to hold on to in the first place, and you finish the wash worse off than you started.
This is a conditioning shampoo rather than a clarifying one. It cleans, but the formula is weighted towards putting moisture back during the same step, so the hair is not left waiting on the conditioner to undo the damage.
Dry, damaged and over-processed hair is the target, and porosity is usually the reason it got there. If your hair soaks up product and feels dry again within the day, this is the wash step built for you.
Concentrate it on the scalp and let the lather run down through the lengths on the rinse. The ends of high porosity hair are the oldest and the most open, and they do not need scrubbing on top of everything else they have been through. 13 oz / 384 ml.
