A co-wash is a conditioner that cleans. There is no detergent in it, so instead of stripping the hair and putting moisture back afterwards, you rub a conditioning cream through the scalp and lengths and let friction and rinsing do the work.
That suits textures that go dry on contact with shampoo. This 13 oz version is built on the same Coconut and Hibiscus base as the rest of the line, so it detangles as it cleans and the frizz that usually comes up after washing mostly stays down. Massage it properly into the scalp, because without lather to guide you it is easy to be too gentle and leave residue behind.
Best used between shampoo washes rather than instead of them forever. Even co-wash devotees need a clarifying wash every few weeks. Suits 2A through 3B.
