The lather is deliberately low. A big foaming shampoo strips the oils a wash-and-go depends on, so this one is sulfate-free and cleans on a thin lather instead, leaving the curl pattern with something to work with.
Coconut milk and plant peptides bring the protein side, coconut oil and kokum butter the moisture. The protein is what makes it feel different from a plain moisturising shampoo. Hair comes out with a bit more structure to it, which helps a wash-and-go hold its shape rather than collapsing as it dries.
