SCurl Wave-Control Pomade 3oz
This is a 360 waves product and nothing else. If you are brushing a short cut into a wave pattern and holding it under a wave cap, this 3oz tin is the layer that makes the pattern set and stay set.
The base is petrolatum and mineral oil with microcrystalline wax and lanolin. That is an old-fashioned formula and the right one for the job, because those ingredients hold a brush stroke in place. Lighter water-based products do not, and they are gone by the afternoon. It gives a firm hold and a shine without going tacky or building into flakes.
Method matters as much as product here. Cover clean, damp hair with a very warm towel for a minute or two first. Rub a small amount between your palms until it softens, smooth it on, then brush firmly into the pattern you want. Cap or tie a scarf over it and leave it for at least thirty minutes.
