This blend puts tea tree oil, Melaleuca alternifolia, into a base of carrier oils so it can go on directly with no mixing. Tea tree has a sharp, clean smell that fades within an hour or so.

Application tips
Use less than you think. This is a light blend and a heavy hand shows up in the roots by lunchtime.
Two or three passes along the front partings, a couple more at the crown, then massage until the oil has gone from the surface into the skin. Under a protective style, apply with the nozzle between braids rather than trying to spread it with fingers.
Results
Cool and clean where the scalp has gone dry, and the relief arrives within a minute or two. Because the tea tree is already cut with carrier oils the sharpness stays comfortable rather than stinging.
Roots do not look loaded afterwards. The smell announces itself on application and has gone by the time you leave the house, which suits a morning routine.
