Apply it in parted sections rather than pouring it onto the crown, and give the scalp a minute of massage while it is on. Used before a wash, half an hour under a cap is enough before you shampoo. Application tips
Cold hands make it worse, so warm the oil in your palms before it touches your head. Go front to back in four or five rows and stop when the tingle arrives; more will not do more.
Twenty minutes is enough for a pre-wash. If you use it in the evening, allow an hour before bed, because the cooling feeling can be distracting when you are trying to sleep.
Results
The cold arrives within seconds and holds for ten or fifteen minutes before settling. Underneath the sensation the carrier oils are doing quieter work, softening a scalp that has gone dry and easing the tight feeling that builds after a week under braids.
The mint scent is bright and clears within an hour. Lengths get a light conditioning that will not flatten a curl pattern.
