Flax seed oil is better known as a food than a hair product, which is a shame, because the fatty acid profile that makes it useful in a diet does something worthwhile on the outside of a strand too.
This one is virgin and cold-pressed from flax seeds, so the fatty acids survive the extraction. Applied through the lengths it penetrates the shaft and nourishes from root to tip, which makes fragile hair more resilient and cuts down on the breakage and split ends that quietly shorten your hair. It also smooths the cuticle, and a smooth cuticle reflects light, which is where the shine comes from. The 8.5 oz bottle is a working size rather than a sample.
Suitable for all hair types, and tagged here from 2a through 4a. Use it as a pre-wash soak on dry, damaged hair, or a small amount through damp ends as a sealing step. Keep it somewhere cool, since flax oil is less stable than most and does not like heat or light.
