Cocoa butter and shea butter carry the 425g tub between them. The cocoa butter brings firmness and the seal, the shea brings softness, and between them you get something that melts on contact and stays in the hair instead of evaporating out of it. Frizz drops, shine comes up, and strands stop catching on each other, which is where less breakage comes from over time.
Scoop a little, warm it between your palms until it turns to oil, then smooth it over damp hair in sections. It is a sealing step, so it goes on after your leave-in, not instead of it. It also does a good job on the perimeter of braids and twists, keeping them tidy between washes.
