A pomade in a mousse can is an odd idea until you use it. You get the airy application of a foam and the gritty, separated texture of a paste, so volume and definition arrive from one product instead of two layered on top of each other.
R+CO build it on vegetable protein, neem oil and papaya extract. The protein holds moisture in the strand, the neem oil keeps things smooth and manageable, and the papaya is there for body and a little shine. Application tips
Shake the can hard, then dispense into a cupped palm rather than straight onto the head. A golf ball is enough for most heads. Work it in at the roots first for lift, then squeeze the rest up into the lengths.
Diffuse or air dry. On second-day hair, a smaller amount rubbed through dry palms and pressed into the mid-lengths brings the texture back without wetting anything.
Results
Texture and separation with some weight behind it, so hair has body instead of lying flat against the head.
The hold flexes, which means you can push a section back into place at four in the afternoon and it stays there. Curls stay soft to touch.
