Volume products usually work by roughing the hair up or by coating it, and both approaches punish fine hair over time. Noughty took the oil-free route instead.
With no oils in the formula, nothing weighs the roots down, so fine and limp hair keeps whatever lift it has. Mangosteen and red grape extract handle the moisture side without adding weight, and the cleansing base is sulphate-free, so the scalp gets clean without the hair going brittle. Being oil-free also makes it a sensible choice with extensions, where oils can loosen bonds and tape.

Application tips
Concentrate everything at the roots. A small amount, massaged into the scalp with the fingertips, and let the lather do the lengths as it rinses away.
Two short washes beat one long one on fine hair, which gets greasy faster than it gets dirty.
Rinse until the roots feel genuinely clean, then follow with a light conditioner on the ends only.
Results
Roots come up clean and lifted, and hair that had been lying flat against the scalp starts standing away from it again.
The lengths are not stripped, so there is no straw-like feel afterwards. With no oil in the formula, nothing is left behind to weigh the hair down or to loosen extension bonds. Volume shows before you have picked up a brush.
