Application tips
Sectioning matters more than product here. Split the hair into four before you get wet, clip it up, and wash one section at a time so the shampoo reaches skin instead of skidding over the top of a tangle.
Massage each section at the root with the pads of the fingers, then let the water carry the lather down. Rinse each one before unclipping the next. Condition the lengths afterwards.
Results
The scalp comes out properly clean, which counts for a lot if your hair only gets washed once a week.
Fragile hair holds together better through the wash itself, since a strengthening formula leaves the strand less inclined to snap while it is wet and heavy. Lengths feel firm rather than squeaky. Across a run of washes there is less broken hair in the plughole, and that is what keeps ends even.
