Application tips
Start on hair that is barely damp. Soaking wet will not dry overnight and bone dry will not hold a shape. Divide into six roughly even sections, one per rod, and wrap each from the ends towards the scalp with the hook doing the work. Tie the scarf over the top before you sleep. Unwind gently in the morning, then separate with your fingers rather than a brush.
Results
Curls come out looking like curls rather than crimped bends, with the volume sitting high because the rods are wide. Left in all night the shape is tight and holds through the day. Taken out after a couple of hours it drops into a loose wave. The satin cuts overnight friction, so hair is smooth at the roots instead of ruffled up.
