Application tips
Part the hair into four and work along each parting with the fingertips, a few drops at a time, so the tonic reaches skin instead of pooling on top of the hair.
Whatever is left over goes down the lengths. Before a wash, give it half an hour under a towel and then shampoo twice. Leaving it in instead, keep the dose to two or three drops on damp ends and comb through.
Results
Dry lengths take on some weight again, enough that they move as a group rather than splitting into separate wiry pieces. Flatness lifts, because a smoother surface holds light instead of scattering it.
Where the tonic has gone onto the scalp, the skin feels less tight the next morning. Ends look less see-through, and hair that gave up at the slightest tug flexes a little further before it snaps. None of it is heavy, so fine hair keeps its body.
