Elongation is the thing tighter curl patterns usually want and rarely get. A jelly like this stretches the curl out and adds volume at the same time, which is a harder combination than it sounds.
Honey, olive oil and biotin are the named ingredients, with ginger root and rosemary oil in the wider blend. Between them they condition the hair while the jelly does the shaping, and the hold that results is soft and touchable rather than crunchy. Sixteen ounces is a sensible size for a jelly used on a full head, since elongation needs enough product to weigh the curl down slightly as it dries. Under-applying is the usual reason people decide an elongating product has not worked.

Application tips
Jelly texture, so it goes on wet and it goes on in layers. Take a section, glaze it from root to tip, then stretch the length gently between your fingers as you go: that is where the elongation comes from.
Work round the head, then either diffuse upside down for volume or leave it to air dry for more length.
Results
Curls hang longer than they would on their own, with the shrinkage that swallows length pulled back a little. Volume comes at the root rather than the ends.
Nothing crunches, so there is no cast to break, and hair stays touchable straight out of the dry. On strands that shrug moisture off, the honey gives it something to hold onto.
