Sixteen ounces of sulfate-free shampoo, built to give textured hair a clean start without the rough, squeaky finish a harsher cleanser leaves.
The surfactants are sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate and cocamidopropyl betaine, both mild, and they lather well enough that the wash feels like a wash. Olive fruit oil keeps the moisture up during the cleanse and aloe barbadensis leaf juice sits alongside it, leaving the scalp fresh rather than tight.

Application tips
Sulphate-free means the lather builds slowly, so give it a moment before deciding you need more. A palmful into the scalp, worked in with the fingertips rather than nails, and the runoff takes care of the lengths.
Go round twice after heavy butters or gel. Rinse until the water runs clear, then condition while the hair is still soaking.
Results
Lather is modest, and that is the format doing its job rather than a fault. Scalp comes out clean, product film lifts off the lengths, and the hair does not go through the tight, creaking stage that harsher washes cause.
Wet detangling afterwards takes less effort. Curl clumps reform on their own once the conditioner is on.
