This is a light scalp serum built for that situation.
It is thin enough to reach the scalp through a braided or sewn-in style without soaking the hair around it. Menthol gives the cool, clean feeling on application, and botanical extracts do the conditioning. It lifts residue away rather than adding to it, so a fortnight into a style the scalp still feels comfortable and the hair underneath stays soft and manageable.
The 2 oz bottle is small on purpose. You are treating scalp rather than lengths, so a little goes a long way, and the size fits in a bag for touch-ups between wash days. ORS built it around natural textures worn in braids, weaves and twists, and that is where it makes most sense.
One honest note on category. This is a cosmetic serum. It conditions, and it keeps hair better protected against breakage, which is what supports length over months. It is not a treatment for anything happening on the scalp itself.
