This shampoo cleanses further than a co-wash without taking the hair down to bare. Application tips
Aim it at the roots. This one cleans further than a co-wash, so the scalp is where it belongs and the lengths get the run-off.
One wash usually does it. If you have used a lot of gel or oil, do a quick first pass, rinse, then a proper second. Follow with conditioner from the ears down, since a deeper clean leaves the ends wanting something back.
Results
Roots come up genuinely clean and stay that way a day longer than usual. Curls that had gone limp and separated get their spring back once the residue is off.
The hair is stronger to handle afterwards rather than soft and slippery, which is what the protein does. Expect a matte, honest finish on wet hair rather than a slick one.
