This is the 100 ml bottle of No.4, which makes it the travel and trial size rather than the one you keep in the shower for a year.
The shampoo runs on Olaplex's bond-building chemistry. It works on the disulphide bonds inside the hair that bleach, colour and repeated heat styling break apart, and mending those bonds is what makes damaged hair feel stronger rather than simply feeling coated. It is highly concentrated, so a coin-sized amount is usually plenty. Using more does not make it work harder.
It suits any hair type, though the people who notice fastest are the ones with colour, bleach or regular heat in their history. If your ends snap when you comb, this is the wash to start with.

Application tips
Less than you think. It lathers hard for its size, so start with a coin-sized amount, wet the hair thoroughly first, and emulsify in your palms before it touches the scalp.
Massage at the roots where the oil and product sit, let the lather run down the lengths on its own, and rinse. A second, smaller wash is worth it if you have styled all week. Follow with a conditioner.
Results
Hair squeaks less than a clarifying wash leaves it and combs out easier while wet, which is where most avoidable breakage happens. Colour-treated lengths come up clean without that stripped, tight feeling.
Used week in and week out, the mid-lengths look less dull and a blow-dry holds better. It is maintenance rather than rescue, so judge it over a month.
