The detangler that goes on before you start, rather than the one you reach for once things have already gone wrong.
Oh My Glide! is built around slip. Avocado oil and organic aloe vera juice do most of that work, with hydrolysed oat protein, rice bran oil and squalane in the supporting cast. It is light enough to stay in without building up, which matters if you are working through a full head in sections and cannot rinse it out afterwards.
Oyin made it for the styling stage: braids, twists and protective styles, where knots form while your hands are already busy and stopping to fix them costs you the section you were halfway through. Spray generously onto damp or dry hair in sections, then work from the ends upwards with a paddle brush, a wide-tooth comb or your fingers. Style from there as normal, following with a gel for hold or a pomade to seal in moisture and add shine.
Best for textured hair from loose waves through to 4b that tangles faster than it dries.

Application tips
Work in sections and start at the bottom. Mist a section until it is properly damp, then take the last inch or two apart with your fingers before any tool touches it, moving up the strand a little at a time.
Re-mist as you go if a section dries out. Wet or dry hair both work, though dry hair takes more. Then braid, twist or style while the slip is still there.
Results
Knots give way instead of tearing, which is the difference between losing hair and keeping it. The spray is watery and light, so nothing is left sitting on the strand once it dries.
Hair stays soft and movable through a long styling session, and since there is nothing to accumulate you can use it daily on braids and twists without the hair going dull.
