OGX put keratin oil at the centre of this 385ml bottle for that reason. Keratin is the protein hair is built from, and topping it up along the shaft makes the strand more resistant to the everyday things that break it, from brushing and heat to tying it back and chemical processing. Split ends get sealed down rather than left open to travel further up. Use it as your normal rinse-out conditioner, concentrating on the mid-lengths and ends where the damage lives.

Application tips
After shampooing, press the water out and apply a coin-sized amount to the bottom half of the hair. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb while it is on, working from the ends up so you are not dragging knots down the shaft.
Two minutes, then rinse. Every other wash is plenty for most people, with a moisture conditioner in between.
Results
Snapping at the brush eases first. The strand takes more pulling before it gives, so hair that was leaving pieces in the sink starts holding together.
Ends look tidier because splits are smoothed down instead of left open. Length holds better over months for the same reason, and the finish is silky rather than slick, which suits weak hair better than a plain moisturising bottle.
