On the scalp, diluted into a carrier, it soothes the feel of skin that has gone dry and itchy along the parting, and it conditions the lengths enough to reduce the breakage that eats into your length over time. On skin it suits areas that are stressed or reactive, where something heavier would feel like too much. Application tips
Into a carrier, always. Five drops per tablespoon of oil for a scalp blend, or a similar amount stirred into conditioner before it goes on. For a bath, ten drops once the water is running.
Patch test on the inner arm and give it a day before you commit to anything larger. On a pillowcase a single drop is plenty; more than that and you will smell it all night.
Results
The itch that comes with a dry scalp eases, and the skin along the parting feels less tight after a couple of uses. Lengths hold together better under a brush, so fewer short broken hairs collect on the shoulders.
On reactive skin it sits quietly where a stronger oil would sting. And the smell does what lavender always does at bedtime.
