Cold-pressed Nigella sativa, undiluted and not blended into anything. Also sold as kalonji oil, so if you have seen that name on a kitchen shelf it is the same seed.
The oil is dark and strongly scented, and it carries fatty acids, vitamins and minerals in a concentration you notice. On the scalp it is used as a massage and pre-wash oil, where it softens the feel of dry, tight skin along the parting. Through the lengths it conditions strands that have gone coarse, so the hair looks less dull and breaks less when you comb it.

Application tips
Think of it as a pre-wash step first. Part dry hair into four, drip a little along each parting and rub it in with the pads of your fingers, then draw whatever is left down the strands.
Half an hour under a cap is plenty. Shampoo twice, because the oil is heavy and one wash rarely shifts it. Neat on the face only if your skin is calm; otherwise cut it with something lighter first.
Results
Coarse hair takes on a bit of give. Combing gets quieter, with fewer of those small snapping noises near the ends, and the flat, chalky look that dry hair gets is replaced by a low shine.
Scalp skin that felt papery along the parting is more comfortable within a wash or two.
The scent is strong and peppery and it does linger, so wash day suits it better than a Monday morning.
