Application tips
Wet the hair thoroughly before anything else, because a sulphate-free shampoo needs water to spread and will sit in a lump otherwise.
Work a small amount into the scalp with the pads of your fingers, section by section, and let the runoff do the lengths. Two washes on the first go if there is product build-up. Rinse for longer than feels necessary, then follow with conditioner while the hair is still dripping.
Results
The lather is modest, which is what happens when the harsh detergents come out, and it is no reflection on how clean the hair gets. Scalp feels properly washed.
Curls come out soft rather than squeaking, and they do not go straw-like in the minutes before conditioner goes on. Dryness that usually shows up an hour after a wash is largely absent, and the curl pattern stays clumped instead of separating into frizz.
