Two sponges in one block. Each side has a different hole pattern, so one produces a tighter coil and the other a looser wave, and you switch depending on the length you are working with or the look you are after. Medium is the size most people should start with. It covers ground faster than a small sponge and still gives you the control a large one loses around the hairline and the nape. The palm shape means pressure comes from a flat hand, which is what keeps coils consistent from the front of the head to the back.
Use it on damp hair with a light cream or gel already worked through. Small circular motions, light pressure, and stop before the coils start to fluff. It suits short to medium natural hair on men and women, and it is a much faster route to defined twists than doing them by hand section by section.

Application tips
Hair needs to be damp and already dressed with something before the sponge touches it, or the coils will not hold.
Pick your side, then move in one consistent direction across the whole head, going back over the same patch until a coil forms rather than pressing harder. Around the edges, use the corner of the block. Rinse it out afterwards and squeeze it dry.
Results
Twists and coils come up defined across the whole head, front to back, in a fraction of the time hand-twisting takes.
One face packs the curl in tight, the other leaves it open and wavy, so a single block covers two looks. Definition lands evenly rather than in patches, and the pattern keeps for several days with a durag at night.
