A satin band is the middle option between a full bonnet and nothing at all. It covers the hairline and whatever you tie down under it, leaves the crown free, and ties rather than gripping, so the tension is yours to set.
The M2247BLA is a breathable satin blend, which is the useful combination. Smooth enough that hair slides over it without catching, open enough that it does not get hot across the forehead on a warm night. Satin also leaves your oils and leave-in on the hair rather than drinking them up, which is where cotton fails.
Most people use one to keep edges laid overnight, to hold a wrap or a set of twists in place, or over a bonnet for extra security. Works over natural curls, straight hair, braids and protective styles.

Application tips
Lay your edges with whatever you normally use, then position the band along the hairline and tie it at the back or the side, whichever sits more comfortably against a pillow.
Pull it snug and stop there. If you wake with a line pressed into your forehead, it was too tight. Over a bonnet, the band goes on second and holds the whole lot in place.
Results
Edges stay flat overnight instead of lifting into frizz by morning, and twists or a wrap sit where you left them.
