A deep conditioner in a 12oz jar, scented with lavender and mint, and light enough on the nose that it does not linger once the hair is dry. Format matters with masks. A jar means you can take out exactly what a section needs instead of squeezing a guess.
Keratin, shea butter, aloe, honey and sea botanicals make up the working part of the formula. Between them you get slip for detangling and a softer feel from root to tip, plus the shine that comes with a smoother cuticle. It is safe on dyed hair and suits anything from straight to curly, which makes it a reasonable household jar rather than a single-texture product.

There are two ways to run it. After shampooing, apply to wet mid-lengths and ends, leave three to five minutes, massage the scalp and rinse cool. For a deeper treatment, cap the hair and apply gentle heat for twenty to thirty minutes first, then rinse the same way. The second method is worth the extra time on hair that has been coloured or heat-styled into roughness.

Application tips
Use a clean, dry scoop or the back of a spoon rather than wet fingers, because water in the jar shortens its life. Four sections, a palmful in each, worked from the ends towards the root.
Weekly is enough on most hair, fortnightly if yours is fine and goes limp easily. Damaged lengths take it more often. Rinse until the hair feels smooth rather than slippery.
Results
Rough, dry hair comes out of it markedly softer, and the change shows in the first comb through.
Slip is the immediate benefit, so knots that would have taken ten minutes let go quickly. Shine returns as the surface flattens. On coloured hair the shade stays put, and the scent is faint enough to have gone by the time everything dries.
