What replaces them is a milder cleansing system that still shifts sweat, dust and everyday product from the scalp, just without the stripped-out finish. Curls keep their moisture and therefore their shape, which is why frizz control and gentle cleansing tend to arrive together. The hair comes out soft, elastic and easy to work with wet.
The 300ml / 10.14 oz bottle is aimed at curly, wavy, kinky and textured hair of any density. Use it as your regular wash and follow with a conditioner or leave-in while the hair is still wet, since that is when curls take moisture best. If you style with heavy gels or butters, keep a clarifying shampoo for once a month to clear what this one deliberately leaves alone.

Application tips
One wash is usually enough, unless a fortnight of product is sitting on the hair, in which case do a short first pass and then a proper second one.
Work it in at the scalp with fingertips and let the lengths take care of themselves. The rinse is the step people cut short, so give it a full minute. A conditioner or leave in should go on before the hair has any chance to dry.
Results
The hair still feels like hair after a wash, which is the whole argument for skipping sulphates. Curl pattern survives the shower instead of being blown out into frizz.
Moisture stays in the lengths, colour holds its depth for longer and elasticity is better, so the comb that follows does less damage. Clean, without the tight, stripped feeling that follows a harsh wash.
