Rice water and yuzu are the pairing behind Mielle's Rice Water line, and the shampoo is where most people start. It is a hydrating cleanse rather than a clarifying one, mild enough to use as often as your hair needs washing.
Rice bran water, rapeseed oil, yuzu peel extract and hydrolysed oat protein sit in the formula. Yuzu is a citrus, and it is where most of the scent comes from. The shampoo adds shine, strengthens the feel of the hair, and helps the ends look less split than they did.

Application tips
One pass over the scalp, then a second if the hair has product in it. Keep the lather on the roots and let it run down, since the length gets clean on the way past.
A scalp brush earns its place here because the lather is thin enough to move around under the hair. Rinse thoroughly and follow with a conditioner or the clay mask.
Results
Hair feels clean and still soft, without the tight squeak of a stripping wash. The strand has a little more body, which shows up as curls sitting higher rather than hanging.
Ends look tidier and split sections less obvious. The citrus scent lingers lightly and the hair takes conditioner well afterwards instead of resisting it.
