The 12oz leave-in from the Pomegranate and Honey line is a detangling step first and a moisture layer second. On thick, curly hair those are the same job anyway. Without slip nothing gets through, and what does not get through breaks.
Babassu oil sits at the front of it, with buriti fruit oil, copaiba resin, murumuru seed butter, honey, pomegranate extract, and apple, green tea and citrus extracts. It stays light for something this rich, which is why it works under a styler.

Apply generously to sectioned hair after conditioning, work it through with a wide tooth comb, then style as you like. It primes wet hair for whichever Pomegranate and Honey styler you finish with.

Application tips
Hair should be wet when this goes on, not towel dried, because the leave-in is what keeps that water in. Work quarter by quarter, covering the length and ends and leaving the roots mostly alone.
Detangle from the bottom of the section upward. Whatever styler follows goes on within a minute or two, while the hair is still wet enough to spread it.
Results
Wet hair loses its grip on itself and the comb runs clean, which saves a surprising amount of length over months. Once dry, the hair feels soft and looks glossy without weight at the root.
A gel or custard laid over the top spreads further, so both bottles go further than either does alone.
