Mielle Pomegranate & Honey Curl Smoothie 12oz
A curl smoothie is a thick cream, and this one is aimed squarely at type 4 coils that swallow lighter products without noticing. It goes on towel dried hair and gives soft, bouncy definition rather than a hard set.
Coconut oil and glycerin do the moisturising, with babassu, buriti fruit oil, copaiba resin and murumuru seed butter from the Pomegranate and Honey base, plus panthenol, pomegranate extract, hydrolysed soy protein and honey. Dimethicone smooths the surface. It glides from root to tip, which is what stops a cream this rich from sitting in patches.
Divide the hair, smooth it through each section from root to tip, and concentrate on wherever the dryness is worst. Do not rinse. Style as usual.
It enhances the pattern rather than reshaping it, so a coil that wants to spring will spring, and it does not leave hair heavy or greasy on the way there. Application tips
A generous handful per quarter head is realistic on thick coils. Smooth it down the section with flat palms so the cream lands on every strand, then rake with a wide tooth comb to catch what your hands missed.
Twist or knot each section as you finish so the parts stay separate. Nothing needs to go over the top unless the ends still feel dry.
Results
Coils come out soft and springy, with definition that bends rather than cracks. The cream disappears into thick hair instead of sitting white on the surface.
Ends stop feeling rough by the second day, and combing out a week old style is easier than it usually is on hair this dense.
